Digha is a popular beach located in the East Medinipur district of West Bengal, India. The distance from Kolkata to Digha Beach is only 187 km. The 7 km stretch of beach, along with Jhowban and unique nature, enthralls the tourists who come to Digha. Digha has two beaches, one called Old Digha Sea Beach and the other known as New Digha Sea Beach. For bathing in the sea, the wide beach of New Digha is more suitable, but bathing is possible in certain parts of Old Digha. Old Digha beach is a bit dangerous for bathing due to boulders in other parts of the beach.
